Angelo
Notes: Angelo's story is very sad.......He was with one owner his whole life, for the last 10 years in fact, ever since a puppy...until they had a new baby. Angelo loved the baby and did nothing wrong, giving out lots of kisses. As the baby got to be a toddler, the husband decided to banish Angelo out to the yard and garage where he has lived for the last year or so - never allowing him in the house. Not because he was bad with their little girl, because Angelo actually was quite good with her, but because the husband simply refused to put them together. He says he does not trust any dog around kids and "doesn't want to take a chance". We thought surely there must have been an incident or somethig to make him feel that way, but no, each family member assured me he's actually quite good with kids....has been around other children with no problems. Angelo has never shown even a hint of aggression toward anyone - he is super friendly and gives out kisses to everyone he meets! He sleeps in the garage at night, not even on a dog bed, and spends the day in the yard...they used to play ball with him more, but now they "don't have the time". To think after all those years together his family would abandon him for absolutely no good reason just pulled at all of our hearts, so we took Angelo in. We couldn't stand the thought of him living one more minute in the garage or alone in the yard - not even another dog playmate to keep him company. Angelo really is a sweetheart, and he is a very active, super playful, energetic boy for his age. He doesn't chew anything in the house, is totally housebroken, obedience trained (knows sit, stay, lie down, and give his paw). He loves his little rubber squeaky ice cream cone toy that he will play fetch with for hours, if you can keep up. He is good with cats, kids and other dogs. Angelo is a gem beyond words and we know someone will appreciate him and love him for the rest of his life. He is very healthy and none of us can believe he is 10 years old. He has many more years to give his love to a new, loyal owner. He is neutered and also has his AKC papers.
