Georgia
Notes: Georgia's story is so sad... she found herself in a high kill shelter in Las Vegas on her last day...a very unlucky dog at her age, because they euthanize after only 3 days on the adoption floor. She had a collar and tags, but the owners were not able to be reached and never came to claim her in time. So Georgia hitched a ride with Leroy Brown, the liver-spotted Dal who we were already planning to take from there, when our good trucker friend David was driving back to Phoenix. Georgia is around 10 years old and what a sweetheart....She so deserves someone who will appreciate her and love her and give her the home she deserves in her golden years, to help make up for lost time...she's obviously been through some rough times ...her nails were so long they were growing out sideways, so it was uncomfortable and hard for her to walk. Her tail has also been docked or cut off in an accident - we are not sure...so she has a stub of a tail, the length of a german shorthair pointer. She seems a little depressed when we first took her in, but she sure liked eating part of my egg Mcmuffin when we were driving back from the truck stop! She rides great in the car, is super mellow and just wants some petting and love...she would be such a sweet, easy, low maintenance and loving dog to have around. Won't you give Georgia a second chance at living out her golden years in love and comfort? UPDATE: Each day she is getting less depressed and perking up more now that she is out of the shelter! But Georgia REALLY needs a foster home or permanent home....she is staying at boarding kennel, and although it's better than a kill shelter, it's not like being in a cozy home...can you help her? If you're not ready to adopt, this would be a perfect way to help and have companionship too!
